About This Archive
Methodology, editorial principles and provenance.
Origins
crorambo.com was registered on 6 February 2006 and hosted by Digizaal in Amsterdam. It was a hand-built HTML site with Flash players, updated by a webmaster while its author was in prison, and expanded after his release in 2011. In 2026 the site was rebuilt as this archive. The original site and its files remain untouched; a full snapshot is held by the host.
Methodology
Every page, document, image and recording on the original site was inventoried. Material was copied from the server, never re-typed. Each record states its original address, what is known of its date and how that date was established (website announcement, file metadata, or the text itself), and what has and has not been verified.
Original texts are reproduced verbatim, including spelling and capitals. The only changes are layout fixes where old HTML split a word across table cells, and each one is noted. Croatian texts stay in Croatian. Translations, when added, will be shown separately and labelled as unchecked until reviewed.
Editorial principles
- Original personal testimony Texts written by Siniša Dvorski, reproduced verbatim with original spelling.
- Contemporary document Scans and files from the period, as published on the original website.
- Contains allegations Accusations against identifiable people. They are the author’s claims, not findings of this archive.
- Independent historical research Independent sources: court records, institutional reports, reputable journalism.
- Editorial context Introductions and context written in 2026 for this reconstruction.
Accusations against identifiable people are never restated as fact. Records that name private individuals, contain identity documents or make allegations of crimes are marked for review. They carry a notice and are excluded from search engines. The research behind the context pages relies on primary institutional sources wherever possible (ICTY case records, UN), and every source is listed in the source register.
